How to return package back to ebay seller?

I recently bought something, but i did not need it anymore. I contacted the seller and he agreed i can return it i haven't open it yet or anything. I was wondering when returning can i just put the package in the mail? And wait for the mailman to pick it up or do i have to bring it to the postal office and stuff? Can i also use the same package box that the seller used?
