Oil-based polyurethane over paper decoupage?

I'm thinking of decoupaging a formica table I have using pages from old books. (After some research into the durability of painted formica, I think the decoupage may actually hold up BETTER to scratches, and I figure if I seal it well it'll be fine.) I'm a little concerned about the durability of water-based sealants, though, and I suspect oil-based varnish would hold up better. But is it going to eat through the paper or anything weird like that? If I seal the paper well with acrylic medium first, can I use an oil-based polyurethane over it? Will it adhere, and if so will it do any damage to the paper below? I really like this table and I don't want to ruin it.

But, in the end, she chose not to leave her husband. My father is now married to a woman 15 years his junior that he met through an international dating service. But he claims to have never had a "soulful" connection with my mother although he said she was a good wife and mother. Was my father justified in looking outside the marriage for fulfillment, or should he have counted his blessings and remained faithful to my mother and tried to work out their differences? Hi. I just went on a diet where I can't eat any grains (and yes, quinoa, millet, etc... are grains). I have been basically living on salads, and I am tired of them. I want some new recipes that I could try and make that adhere to all my restrictions. My restrictions are: No grains (not even healthy ones like oatmeal, rye, rice, quinoa, wheat, sesame, hemp, barley, kamut, polish wheat, egyptian wheat, buckwheat, sorghum, millet, amaranth, tapioca, potato, and bran), no starches (i.e. potato, tapioca, etc...), no dairy, no soy (which pretty much rules out all dairy substitutes as well), no xanthan gum (or any other corn products), no meat, and no sugars (includes hidden and artificial sugars, honey, and maple syrup. The only sugar substitute I am allowed to use is Stevia). Basically, I can eat veggies, beans, nuts, fruits, squash, and coconut. I especially want some bread recipes or something of the sort. May 21st, 2011 Rapture, and Judgement Day?

I'm sure many humans have heard by this current interval about the presumed hypothesis regarding the Rapture that's supposed to occur on Saturday May 21st, 2011 at approximately 6:00 p.m. These calculations have been made by a Theologian named Harry Camping. Camping allegedly is basing all of his mathematics off of specific biblical numerical codes that are referred to in the scriptures of the Bible. His organization is claiming that the tribulation period that's distinctively described as being a seven year period of grief, and anguish in the New Testament book of Revelations is actually a twenty-three year period. I can already point out the slightest bit of miscalculations, and contradictions of his predictions if he based it solely off of the numerical values that are vividly conveyed in the Bible. I consider myself to be a true sovereign servant of God, and I valiantly attempt to adhere to his will. I'm affiliated with the protestant denomination of Presbyterianism which is a subsidiary of Calvinism. I believe that our Lord Savior Jesus Christ atoned for all of the sins of humanity, and resurrected after the third day as he transcended into the afterlife to grace his Father, and our Creator's glorious presence. Despite my clear, public display of credence, I'm still petrified by the presumed apocalypse that's supposed to occur. But, even Jesus said that in the hour of the real apocalypse many deceivers will come as false prophets. And Jesus suggested that not even he, nor the rest of humanity knew the approximate minute of the destruction of our physical realm, except for our creator (God). That makes logistical sense considering every time Humanity has attempted to mimic God's eternal abilities, it's always resulted in disaster. This Theologian has been incorrect before from his initial analysis in the early 1990's, whenever he indicated that the rapture would occur on 9/6/1994 A.D., and nothing occurred. Considering the fact that the eastern Pacific is thirteen hours ahead of the eastern United States' time zone, and all. Whenever it's in the early hours of the morning at 5:00 a.m. EST, then Japan should be receiving a significant amount of seismic activity. I'm not extremely petrified by this presumption, but I'm just scared that I'll be left behind if it actually happens. Camping said that only three percent of the world's population (roughly 200,000,000 million inhabitants) would actually be raptured, and ascend into heaven. I disagree with him on that particular issue. Even if our physical realm has become excessively progressive, and secular there's more than just 200,000,000 million true servants of God. However, coincidentally enough, a magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck the mainland Japanese peninsula last evening. It does cause the raise for concerns. Again, I'm not on here to argue religion, or any preferred denomination with any other user on this social networking site. I'm just curious as to what others think about this. Personally, a lot of his doctrines do sound insane, but there's a legitimate amount of suspicion with them as well. Again, please read all of what I've conveyed here before starting an argument with me. The same goes with agnostics, and atheists. You have an opinion, and you exist in society. Modern Physics verifies the creation of the Universe with the assistance of a divine force with the first law of Thermodynamics. That's the actual technical definition of God. I have question concerning possible laws in the workplace.?

My friend has a part time job at a certain business. I recently quit because of issues with the general manager. He showed me a picture of the most recent employee contest to be held in July to be the top seller of a certain kind of item. The prizes included some gift cards, tickets to events, and two weeks of not doing closing duties. At the bottom it said, "The bottom 2 sellers will not get scheduled for 2 weeks." Is this even legal to do? The contest is fine, but not scheduling an employee for not selling as much as others? There are definitely factors in that. No one is going to get the same amount of hours as everyone else, thus destroying the chance to equally win the contest and save their paychecks by not being removed from the schedule for two weeks. Am I just "pregnant" or do I really hate my husband?

I'm almost 4 months pregnant with twins and I'm pretty sure I might be losing my mind. I cannot even stand being around him for minutes. I'd like to think it isn't me, but I don't know, honestly. What do I do about my commitment issues?

Okay, I'm only 17 I understand that it's not too serious, but I feel guilty and feel as if I'm a horrible person. I dated a girl in 7th grade, but ended up breaking up with her after 4 months or so. Then I met another and "dated" her until my Sophomore year in high school. Let me make it clear that all we ever did was hold hands twice, and no physical contact ever. During my Freshman year, I dated another girl, knowing that I was already with another person, and then another after breaking up with this one for a week. But the thing is, with 3-year girl, I've broken up with her a total of three times and the same with the girl-after-1-week-girl. I broke up with both of them my sophomore year, and then I dated a girl for a month and then left her for my current girlfriend of a year and a half. I cheated on her 3 times and told her about it because I felt guilty. We're still together and I'm glad. What I truly desire is a long term relationship, but my philosophy is that if I am to be with someone for a long time, then I guess I do have to look for appearances first. I don't go after obvious people-who-are-just-in-it-for-sex, but I feel as if I really only cheated because I'm not getting any emotional fulfillment from relationships. I feel as if the girl is never really there for me. I have an unusual home. It has a Porcelain tile roof (16ft x 30ft) surrounded by shingles on the perimeter. Water is leaking thru the grout and both getting into my home and staining the shingles. As your so young still why not take a career break and travel the world for a year while you have no commitments, I did it at 21, travelled all over south east Asia, Australia and the States, id never swap those experiences for anything and sure does broaden the mind, you have years to settle down and find love etc, if you make the most of your youth (which passes very quickly) you will feel you have achieved more and be ready for other fulfillment's when you get older. A "peatcock" is actually a petcock. :) It is basically a shutoff valve that attaches to the bottom of your fuel tank. I've never owned a Ninja, so I'm unaware of the exact process that you're going to have to take to replace it, but if you get the part, I'm sure it's not a hard process, most bikes aren't and I've replaced a few on both Harleys and sportbikes. You're going to have to take the fuel tank off and drain the fuel out of it. The petcock should screw into the bottom of the tank, either directly, or using a jam nut to keep it in place. My best advice to you is do some research and look online for a visual reference. There are plenty of Ninja forums, or general sportbike forums, which usually have how-to sections written by guys who have done the repairs before.

I think it would be impossible in any combination of majors for the vast majority of students. Something would have to give -- either not having three majors or not finishing in four years. You have to consider that you have to meet requirements beyond those of your major, since most schools also require various general education courses. And senior honors theses are typically closer to graduate-level work in the field than undergraduate-level work. It could be possible if you take course overloads every semester and/or take courses during the longer break periods (summer and winter). But I don't think this is reasonable for most people or something most students can handle.

Apartment not enforcing lease clauses?

A new tenant in the apartment complex has been playing their music with the bass turned up high. The result is that I can hear and feel the vibrations in my unit. I have complained to management 3 times now, with no remedy. The lease agreement has a clause about causing annoyances and disturbances for other tenants. It appears that management is not going to force the new tenant to abate the disturbance. Does this void the lease agreement between me and the apartment complex? Hi. I just went on a diet where I can't eat any grains (and yes, quinoa, millet, etc... are grains). I have been basically living on salads, and I am tired of them. I want to lose weight soooo bad. I am 30 pounds overweight and have been so for 2 years. I started working out for a couple of months but left it due to the insignificant amount of food I was consuming which led me to become very weak. The reason why I haven't been able to adhere to a constant workout schedule is because I simply do not know what to eat! Okay, here's the thing: all girls are different in just about every way imaginable. In my opinion, bodybuilder big muscles are a HUGE turnoff. It's extremely unhealthy to bodybuild and I wouldn't want to associate myself with someone who harms themselves and, in a way, flaunts it everywhere they go. Yeah, I like a sufficient amount of muscle, most other girls do, too. It helps bring us a sense of safety and protection, allowing us to open up to you more easily. So, yeah. A little muscle is good, just don't go bodybuilder. But still, the MOST IMPORTANT THING is to always stay true to who you are. What's wrong with my pug?

So my pug Roxie is 5 or 6 years of age. She isn't eating nor is she sleeping at night. At night she will just bark and howl until someone comes and opens you kennel (which she sleeps in). And then she will bark and whine until my Mom sleeps with her. We took her to the vet and the vet said that she might have arthritis. Except he doesn't know for sure. So the vet gave her some pills. We have been giving them to her, but she still isn't eating and still isn't sleeping. She usually has no problems with sleeping in a kennel. She is fine with drinking. The doctor also said to lift up her bowls so she doesn't have a hard time bending down (since she has arthritis in her neck) So we put her bowls on some books, and she has no problem drinking from her water bowl. So i don't think her eating habits have to do with the books. Do you know what's wrong with my dog? I want her to live the rest of her life in fulfillment. I know it's hard for pugs to get better when they get sick, so i wanted help. She doesn't seem in pain, she is still playing. Thanks.

Any Info on this model mountain bike?

I have been offered a 15 yr old mountain bike called an Alpine-stars AST 140. It looks ok and was told by the seller it cost him hundreds of pounds back in the day, but i can not find any reviews on this bike other than the company stopped making bikes a few year ago. Seller is looking for a couple of hundred but i need some info on this bike from any dedicated MBT riders before i seal the deal. This is to replace my bike which was stolen . I`ve saved �200 so far towards a new one but was hoping this would be a good deal. Any advice would be appreciated . thanks.

Christians: Is it possible to be a lawyer and adhere to Christianity?

Personally I don't think a lawyer who takes cases to trial can be a good Christian because he often lies, or withholds truth and does it for money, not justice. He will even defend a criminal whom he knows to be guilty, if he gets enough of a fee. If you can't pay, he won't defend you. A lawyer who is in a different field may be able to hold to Christian values, maybe. I've been friends with a couple of lawyers, they have bragged to me about some of their cases that they won, and I know how they think and don't agree with them. God bless.

What would cause someone to wake up randomly at night?

I am 21 years old, and for the last (I am guessing) 6 months, I have been waking up at random times at night...I am normally a heavy sleeper. I only get 5 to 6 hours of sleep on days that I work (at 4AM), and I get 8 to 10 hours on my days off (and that's not including the 3/4/5 times that I wake up at night). I also fall asleep at random times during the day (well not at work lol). I know I am not an insomniac cause I can fall asleep really fast. I rarely get Nightmares, I do get dreams about my pet peeves (like smoking for example...but that's like once or twice a month), but most of my dreams are "Wish Fulfillment Dreams"...so I would have no reason to wake up randomly. I have been losing a lot of sleep because of this, and it's annoying!!! I thought it would just pass, but 6 months later, it's still happening. Help please?

my husband sold a motorcycle over the weekend and now the buyer wants his money back...he says the front is damaged and that it pulls to the right, buyer came out with his family checked out the bike started it up , had his wife sit on it and decided he wanted it. now he wants his money back...I know the whole buyer beware but there are a few issues that Im not sure about, when my husband got the bike from a friend he never transferred the title into his name and signed the bill of sale with the name on the title.. can he get in trouble and does the buyer have a leg to stand on as far as taking us to court

yeah i have to agree with her. you need more traps. you need defense offense and barriers and try to stick to a theme. i would try to get your deck to 40 cards use trap cards like magic cylinder, mirror force, shadow spell, ect. use offense like secret barrel, just desserts,monsters, giant trunade to open up the field, ect. and barriers that i use are 2-3 marauding captains, 2 command knights, so that they cant attack and you can stuff like that but it will be different with you cuz i have a warrior only deck so good luck hope i helped :)

Hi. I just went on a diet where I can't eat any grains (and yes, quinoa, millet, etc... are grains). I have been basically living on salads, and I am tired of them. I want some new recipes that I could try and make that adhere to all my restrictions. My restrictions are: No grains (not even healthy ones like oatmeal, rye, rice, quinoa, wheat, sesame, hemp, barley, kamut, polish wheat, egyptian wheat, buckwheat, sorghum, millet, amaranth, tapioca, potato, and bran), no starches (i.e. potato, tapioca, etc...), no dairy, no soy (which pretty much rules out all dairy substitutes as well), no xanthan gum (or any other corn products), no meat, and no sugars (includes hidden and artificial sugars, honey, and maple syrup. The only sugar substitute I am allowed to use is Stevia). Basically, I can eat veggies, beans, nuts, fruits, squash, and coconut. I especially want some bread recipes or something of the sort.
