It's in the drive of the person. Higher educated "significant others" tend to be that way because they were motivated to accomplish such things. It's very typical to see non-Americans who strive for something greater because they wanted to leave their country and need success elsewhere. Ex-military or soldiers/airmen/marines/seamen still in the military also share a drive for success because of training. (That is assuming the training held and they actually wanted to be made efficient)
